Senior Cloud Architect

Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Lead / Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership and architectural direction across cloud and platform engineering. This role will establish cloud architecture standards, oversee infrastructure design and governance, serve as the highest level of technical escalation for cloud and platform incidents, and advise clients on cloud modernization, migration, security, resilience, and cost optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain cloud architecture standards, including landing zones, network design, identity and access management, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.Act as the final technical escalation point for complex cloud and platform incidents.Review and approve major infrastructure changes and the onboarding of new workloads.Provide technical direction and set priorities for cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, FinOps, and SRE/AIOps engineering teams.Advise clients on cloud modernization, migration strategies, and long-term platform roadmaps.Ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with security, resilience, performance, governance, and cost-efficiency standards.Participate in the on-call rotation as the senior technical escalation point.RequirementsMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud architecture.Proven experience owning and designing multi-cloud architectures across enterprise environments.Strong expertise in cloud architecture, including landing zone design, migration strategy, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and cost optimization.Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with the ability to provide architectural guidance across multi-cloud environments.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.Familiarity with cloud architecture best practices, including the AWS Well-Architected Framework or equivalent frameworks for other cloud platforms.Strong understanding of technical governance, infrastructure changes, workload onboarding, and cloud security standards.Proven ability to lead technical teams, establish engineering priorities, and resolve complex technical issues.Strong stakeholder management and client advisory skills, particularly in cloud modernization and migration initiatives.Willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.Preferred CertificationsAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
