Role Description The Senior Cloud Engineer role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the Senior Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure to support healthcare consulting projects, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and managing cloud environments, optimizing performance, overseeing deployment pipelines, and collaborating with software development teams on solution architecture. The role also involves monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues across infrastructure, Linux environments, and databases, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The Senior Cloud Engineer works closely with consultants and clients to translate business requirements into robust cloud solutions that align with regulatory and data protection standards.QualificationsStrong background in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, with experience designing and managing secure, scalable cloud architectures.Proficiency in Software Development and related tooling to support automation, CI/CD pipelines, and integration with cloud services.Solid experience with Linux administration, including system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.Hands-on expertise with Databases, including design, performance optimization, backup, and recovery in cloud or hybrid setups.Experience working in healthcare, health tech, or regulated environments is highly beneficial, with familiarity in data privacy and security standards.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.Industry certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or related areas are an advantage.
