Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole: Senior Cloud EngineerExperience: 5–8 Years Employment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure.The candidate should be capable of working independently to provision and configure cloud resources required by Active Directory and enterprise applications. The role will involve end-to-end cloud infrastructure setup, including compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup, and application connectivity.The ideal candidate should be able to take infrastructure requirements from application/AD teams and independently build a secure, scalable, and production-ready cloud environment with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently provision and configure cloud infrastructure resources based on AD and application requirements.Design and deploy cloud environments for Active Directory / Domain Controllers and enterprise applications.Provision and manage cloud resources such as:Virtual Machines / ComputeStorageVirtual Networks / VPCSubnetsNetwork Security Groups / Security GroupsLoad BalancersFirewallsPublic and Private IPsDNSKey Management / SecretsBuild cloud infrastructure that can be consumed by Active Directory, application, database, and middleware teams.Configure cloud networking, including VNet/VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, peering, DNS, and connectivity.Support deployment of Windows Server workloads and Active Directory Domain Controllers in cloud environments.Configure cloud resources to support AD replication, authentication, DNS, domain services, and hybrid connectivity where required.Integrate cloud infrastructure with on-premises Active Directory and enterprise environments.Configure site-to-site VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, or equivalent hybrid connectivity.Implement appropriate IAM/RBAC, security groups, network controls, encryption, and access policies.Apply cloud security hardening and best practices to infrastructure resources.Configure and manage cloud storage, including appropriate performance, availability, access, and backup requirements.Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and health checks for cloud infrastructure.Configure backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions for critical workloads.Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues involving compute, networking, storage, DNS, authentication, connectivity, and security.Work closely with Active Directory, application, network, security, and database teams to understand infrastructure requirements and deliver required cloud resources.Support cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and application onboarding activities.Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.Follow change management, incident management, problem management, and security/compliance processes.Mandatory Technical Skills5–8 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure / Cloud Engineering.Strong experience in at least one major cloud platform:Microsoft AzureAWSGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)Strong hands-on experience with cloud resource provisioning and configuration.Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure for Active Directory and/or enterprise applications.Strong understanding of:Compute / Virtual MachinesStorageVirtual Networks / VPCSubnetsRoutingDNSSecurity Groups / NSGsLoad BalancersIAM / RBACExperience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.Experience with hybrid cloud / on-premises connectivity. Good understanding of cloud security, hardening, identity, access management, and encryption.Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery.Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, network, compute, storage, and identity.
