Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Remote Direct Hire Salary: $110,000–$140,000 A growing healthcare technology company developing software that helps organizations securely manage and exchange clinical information. Job Description We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help build, enhance, and support a modern AWS environment powering healthcare technology products. This individual will work across cloud architecture, networking, compute, containers, storage, identity, databases, automation, and serverless technologies while partnering closely with software engineering teams on deployment and delivery processes. The role will also focus heavily on infrastructure reliability, security, scalability, and performance and will require someone comfortable diagnosing complex cloud and networking issues, improving existing environments, and supporting multiple technical initiatives at once. Required Skills 10 years of experience working with infrastructure, systems, or cloud environments 3 years of hands-on AWS experience designing and implementing production cloud environments Strong understanding of AWS architecture best practices and Well-Architected principles Strong Linux and/or Windows systems administration background Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and CloudFormation Strong AWS networking experience with technologies such as VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, ELB, Control Tower, and AWS Organizations Experience supporting AWS compute technologies including EC2 and Lambda Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Fargate Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, SQS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch Experience implementing cloud security controls and infrastructure security tooling Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and distributed systems Experience with Active Directory and identity/access management technologies Experience building or improving CI/CD processes in partnership with software engineering teams Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, and application deployment environments Bonus / Soft Skills AWS Associate-level or Specialty certification Experience with AWS data and analytics technologies such as HealthLake, Glue, EMR, or Redshift Experience with healthcare technology or healthcare data environments Experience with Azure DevOps build and release tooling Familiarity with DICOM, DICOMweb, or medical imaging technologies Experience with AWS healthcare or medical imaging services Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline Experience working with engineering teams in an Agile environment Strong communication and analytical skills Ability to independently prioritize work across multiple technical initiatives Comfortable working in a fast-moving, remote environment Welcome to ConsultNet, a premier national provider of technology talent and solutions.
