Senior Commercial Manager

The Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for commercial governance of Projects He / she will also manage the day-to-day operation of Commercial and Contract Management and provide leadership and managerial support to ensure the highest possible work ethic in accordance with established procedures through the life cycle of the project. He / she will undertake all activities in line with the core values of Mirage, ensuring the team focuses on the following: Integrity in all transactions and contract placement; High standard of support to stakeholders (internal & external); Ensure delivery of KPI and contract commitments; Commitment to the success of the programme; Encourage team effort and individual productivityThe Commercial Manager must be an effective manager, communicator, problem- solver and organiser with sound knowledge and relevant experience and must maintain accountability of Project/Portfolio Commercial Performance.Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in Quantity Surveying, similar degree or Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Building Management, Engineering, Architecture with extensive experiential learning in the construction industry (7 years plus middle east experience)At least 10 years of relevant experience in a project / commercial management roleProgressively increased responsibility over career durationUAE experience preferredRelevant projects of an appropriate scaleActive membership of a relevant professional institution such as RICS is desirableKey ResponsibilitiesKeep abreast of business and technical developments in the construction industry as a basis for planning and managing change, and ensuring the Company’s success and business viability against competitionMonitor market conditions and changes in the business environment to assist Mirage in making recommendations about changes or adaptations to development plansAdvise the Development Director with regards to identified operating risks, poor performance, required remedial actions, claims, and variation orders issues for further actionWith the finance / controls department, develop and implement cost control systems and financial reporting that can be correlated to the project budget, revenue and costsMonitor performance of commercial staff and give the necessary directives, mentoring and training and assign / coordinate subordinate resources as and when requiredEstablish internal project administration procedures for development management, commercial, planning, procurement and financial integrationEnsure decisions are made in accordance with established commercial procedures whilst ensuring the best solution is advocated for Mirage, the Client and projectOther commercial management duties as assigned by the Project Director / ManagerOther decription:ProcurementPre-Contract / Design Commercial ManagementPost Contract / Supervision Commercial ManagementOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
