We are seeking a Senior Leader to take charge of commissioning for our onsite natural gas power plant, including gas turbines and reciprocating engines. You will build the team, own the program, and hand the plant over to operations block by block.What You Will DoBuild and lead the commissioning organization, including hiring and managing commissioning managers, engineers, and techniciansDevelop commissioning plans, sequences, and procedures, and keep them aligned with the construction scheduleDirect day to day field activity, from system walkdowns and checkouts through functional testing, startup, and energizationSet and enforce the authority structure for testing and energization, including hold points, permits, and sign offsManage contractors, equipment vendors, and third party specialists to keep testing on plan and to quality standardsRun the completions process in the system of record, including check sheets, certificates, punch lists, and turnover packagesTrack progress, report status, and escalate risks to project leadershipPartner with the data center commissioning team so both sides operate as one coordinated programHand completed systems over to operations on a repeatable cadence, and use lessons learned to improve each blockWhat You BringYou likely come from onsite or data center power development, a power EPC or commissioning firm, a turbine or engine manufacturer, an independent power producer or utility building new gas plants, or an LNG owner or contractor. Wherever you have been, you have:Led commissioning or startup on gas turbine or gas engine power plants (LNG experience with turbines also works)Built and run a commissioning team, including contractors and third party specialistsOwned energization and turnover to operationsUsed a digital completions and handover system as the system of recordWillingness to be based in TexasWhy NexusThis is a senior seat on a flagship project, with room to grow as the campus grows. You will help set the commissioning standard for a plant designed to repeat.
