They own the production compiler and the system software tooling around it, and the quality of what reaches users. This is a senior individual contributor role.You'll own investigations into runtime behaviour and code footprint, chase the problems that only surface once the toolchain meets a real system, and build out the measurement infrastructure the team works to.What you'll drive:Measuring runtime performance and binary size to pinpoint where the compiler can do betterTracing faults that appear at the system level, working them through with the delivery and validation teamsBuilding and running the benchmarking used to track toolchain qualityWhat we're looking for:Several years working on compilers, commercially or in researchProfessional development experience on LLVM, GCC, or another production grade compilerStrong C/C++ alongside assemblyStrong grounding in instruction sets and processor microarchitectureComfortable across the wider toolchain, not just the compilerA track record in large scale codebasesStrong written and verbal communicationFull details on the company will be shared once you're through to the next stage.APPLY NOW to discuss further details.5V Tech are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this position.
