Senior Compliance Manager - Asset Management

A leading global asset management firm is looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to lead its compliance function in Taiwan. A visible, senior role owning the local compliance and regulatory agenda, split roughly 70-80% general compliance and 20-30% AML/financial crime.YOUR FOCUS

• Provide compliance and regulatory advice to the Taiwan business and run risk-based monitoring, surveillance and reporting
• Lead a team of compliance professionals and keep policies, procedures and standards current and best practice
• Support new products and initiatives for Taiwan and the region, including regulatory analysis
• Review marketing materials daily to ensure they meet group standards and local rules
• Advise all business functions, balancing regulatory requirements, the firm's fiduciary duty and commercial objectives
• Help maintain a strong compliance framework and standing with regulators through exams and inspections
• Prepare management and committee papers from a Taiwan perspective
• Work with risk and internal audit on complaints, breaches and errors
• Deliver compliance and regulatory training, and liaise with global and regional teams on regulatory change
• On AML/financial crime: stay across local and international AML/CFT developments, complete regulatory reporting, manage AML examinations and deliver AML/CFT trainingWHAT WE'RE AFTER
• A degree in accounting, business or law; postgraduate study a plus
• 8-10 years in compliance, audit or legal within asset management or wider financial services (AML/CFT a plus, not the main focus)
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan regulatory requirements and asset management products; mandates experience essential, ETF experience a plus
• Excellent written and spoken communication across functions and markets
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead
• A proactive, commercial, solutions-focused approach rather than a purely risk-averse one
• Self-starter who works independently with strong attention to detail
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English
