Senior Compliance Officer

Role Description The Senior Compliance Officer will oversee and enhance the firm’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a balance of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring regulatory developments, assessing compliance risks, and updating policies and procedures accordingly. The Senior Compliance Officer will conduct compliance reviews, support internal audits, provide guidance to team members, and prepare reports for leadership. The role also involves collaborating with finance and operational stakeholders, delivering training on compliance requirements, and recommending improvements to strengthen controls and mitigate risk.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with experience building and maintaining compliance frameworks.Strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex regulations, assess risk, and propose practical, evidence-based solutions.Effective Communication skills, with the ability to explain compliance requirements clearly, prepare concise reports, and engage with diverse stakeholders.Solid understanding of Finance and how regulatory obligations affect financial processes and reporting.Professional experience in a compliance, legal, audit, or risk management role, preferably within a regulated industry.Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., compliance, risk, or audit) are an advantage.Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and prioritize tasks across multiple projects.High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory integrity.
