Senior Compliance Officer

Role Description The Senior Compliance Officer is a part-time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance frameworks related to intellectual property services, including advisory, filing, commercialization, and portfolio management. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing policies and procedures for regulatory alignment, conducting risk assessments, monitoring adherence to applicable laws, and preparing compliance reports for leadership. The Senior Compliance Officer will collaborate with legal and finance teams, advise on regulatory implications for client engagements, and support audits or inspections as needed. The role also involves training team members on compliance standards and recommending process improvements to strengthen governance and control.QualificationsStrong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with experience in designing and overseeing compliance programs.Well-developed Analytical Skills for assessing risks, interpreting regulations, and evaluating internal controls.Effective Communication skills for drafting policies, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.Working knowledge of Finance to understand the impact of compliance decisions on financial processes and reporting.Experience in intellectual property, legal services, or professional services environments is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced certification in compliance or risk management is an advantage.Proven ability to work independently, manage part-time schedules, and operate effectively in a hybrid work setting.High ethical standards, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and process improvement.
