Role Description The Senior Compliance Officer is a part-time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing compliance frameworks that align Zenodec’s engineering-first practices with applicable regulatory and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring regulatory developments, assessing their impact on software development and data handling, and updating internal policies and procedures accordingly. The Senior Compliance Officer will conduct risk assessments, perform compliance audits, and collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to ensure controls are effectively embedded in workflows. The role also involves preparing compliance reports for leadership, delivering staff training on compliance requirements, and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors or regulatory bodies.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, including experience designing and maintaining compliance frameworks in a technology or software environment.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret regulations, assess risk, and translate complex requirements into practical controls and processes.Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge, enabling effective collaboration with finance teams on compliance matters related to financial controls, budgeting, and reporting.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., CCEP, CRCMP) are advantageous.Demonstrated experience in regulatory environments (e.g., data protection, cybersecurity, financial or corporate governance), preferably within software, digital platforms, or technology companies.Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards and attention to detail.
