Apply & track with Apply EdgeSenior Project ManagerConstruction / General ContractingWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial and government construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional client relationship skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.This individual will oversee project teams, subcontractors, and client communications while maintaining compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and company standards.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage multiple commercial and government construction projects simultaneously from award through project completion.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocation.Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate activities between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure successful execution.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, scopes of work, and performance.Review and approve change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and purchase orders.Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and client regulations, particularly on government contracts.Oversee quality control and safety initiatives throughout each project lifecycle.Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field personnel.Conduct regular project status meetings and provide executive-level reporting on financial performance, schedules, and project milestones.Foster long-term client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional business.Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during bidding and project transitions.Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate through project closeout.QualificationsBasic RequirementsPreferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management certification is considered a strong advantage.3+ years of experience managing Government and/or Commercial construction projects with a local General Contractor.Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with responsibility for budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction.Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, contract administration, and project controls.Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.Ability to successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with federal, state, municipal, or public-sector construction projects.Knowledge of FAR, Davis-Bacon, OSHA, and other government contracting requirements.Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CMAR project delivery methods.OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.Core CompetenciesProject LeadershipContract AdministrationBudget & Cost ManagementSchedule Development & ManagementRisk Assessment & MitigationClient Relationship ManagementTeam Leadership & MentorshipGovernment Contract ComplianceProblem Solving & Decision MakingCommunication & Negotiation
