Owns it and delivers it.Respects teammates, partners, and clients.Anticipates problems, brings solutions, and knows when to escalate.Refuses to settle for “average.”Why Work with Himes?Competitive compensationLong-standing client relationships and a growing mission critical portfolioExciting, high-profile projects you will be proud ofAutonomy without bureaucracyDirect access to Himes leadership and an experienced technical teamThe trust, resources, and support you need to excelOpportunity to continue growing with Himes as our data center and mission-critical portfolio expandsWhat To Expect in this RoleAs an Owner’s Representative supporting the Tenant Fit-Out construction of a major hyperscale data center campus, you’ll work onsite as an integrated member of the Tenant’s project team, providing the project leadership, technical judgment, coordination, and follow-through required to keep complex construction moving.Own assigned project responsibilities across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, documentation, and closeout, maintaining clear visibility into project status and upcoming priorities.Serve as a key point of coordination among client stakeholders, construction managers, general contractors, trade partners, design teams, vendors, commissioning teams, and other project partners.Oversee construction execution and proactively identify schedule, procurement, quality, coordination, constructability, and technical risks before they affect critical milestones.Coordinate complex MEP and mission-critical infrastructure, including interfaces among electrical, mechanical, controls, equipment, and supporting building systems.Track project schedules, critical milestones, constraints, long-lead equipment, dependencies, and contractor commitments, driving action when performance begins to slip.Support procurement, equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities across multiple concurrent workstreams.Drive critical project workflows including RFIs, submittals, change management, action items, issue resolution, project documentation, and stakeholder decisions.Maintain accurate and timely daily and weekly project reporting, clearly communicating progress, risks, decisions, outstanding actions, and upcoming activities.Participate in project and OAC meetings, drive assigned action items to closure, and ensure commitments are documented and followed through.Anticipate problems and bring forward clear options and recommendations rather than waiting for direction.Communicate proactively with the client and project leadership regarding schedule impacts, site issues, absences, changing conditions, or anything that could affect project execution.Represent the owner professionally onsite and build strong working relationships across the project team.Minimum QualificationsBS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related technical field preferred; PMP, PE, CCM, or similar professional credentials are a plus.10+ years of construction/project management experience, with significant responsibility for complex construction execution.Demonstrated data center or mission-critical construction experience required; hyperscale data center experience strongly preferred.Experience managing technically complex projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and mission-critical infrastructure systems.Strong understanding of construction sequencing, schedules, procurement, long-lead equipment, RFIs, submittals, change management, QA/QC, commissioning, and turnover.Demonstrated ability to independently manage project priorities and maintain accountability across multiple concurrent workstreams.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise client reporting and the ability to escalate issues with clear recommendations.Proven ability to build effective relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, commissioning teams, and field personnel.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and construction/project management platforms; experience with scheduling and document-control systems is strongly preferred.Proactive, accountable, highly organized, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a fast-paced field environment.Ability to work onsite full-time in Abilene, Texas during traditional construction hours Monday-Friday, with rotating weekend assignments as required.
