About UsEvo Associates is a team performance consultancy built on a contrarian premise: neither your MBA nor your company taught you how teams actually work. We read the players (organizational psychology), the playbook (organizational behavior), and the plays (the study of complex systems) - because performance emerges between people, not within them. A roster of stars loses to a group that simply works well together more often than anyone is comfortable admitting. Less org chart, more ecosystem. We don't show up with a verdict on what's wrong with your team. The strengths are already there; the conditions decide how much of them show up. Underperformance is usually strength trapped, not strength missing. We're a new practice founded by Dr. Michael Morand - Fortune 50 strategist, military veteran, adjunct professor, and author of the forthcoming Quantum Teams (Fast Company Press, 2027) and the TEDx talk "Leadership, Not Leaders." The premise, in one line: leadership is a function of teams, not a trait of individuals. The RoleThis is Evo's first full-time hire - the one who comes in after our summer associate class and turns early momentum into a practice. You'll work directly with Michael, and because the methodology is built rather than theoretical, you'll see the whole arc of an engagement rather than one slice of it.Our work runs in three stages, and you'll have a hand in all of them:Picture - surveys and interviews that measure a team across ten dimensions, then multi-tier reports that give the team, the pairs, and the individuals something they can act onPriorities - half- and full-day workshops built from that team's own patterns, ending in commitments the team makes to itselfPractice - mini team labs, coaching, and short pulse surveys that tell us whether any of it heldAround that sits the standing work of building the practice:Research & Methodology - dig into the science of team performance to sharpen our frameworks and challenge our assumptionsContent & Marketing - help shape articles, our growing social presence, and podcast productionBusiness Development - build engagement strategies and client-facing resourcesOperations - create the processes that don't exist yet, and improve the ones that doReal work on real problems. This isn't a seat where you wait to be told what to do.YouA bachelor's in business, economics, psychology, organizational development, or a related field (advanced degree welcome, not required)Prior consulting experience highly desirable - agency, boutique, or in-house strategy all countStrong research and analysis - equally at ease with a data set and an interview transcript, and able to turn either into something clearExcellent writing; it matters here more than most placesEnough presence to be useful in a room - you'll be in front of client teams earlier than you'd expectCuriosity about why the conventional wisdom on leadership and teams keeps coming up shortComfort with ambiguity - we're building the plane while flying itA plus: interest or experience in organizational psychology, organizational behavior, systems thinking, survey design, or facilitationDetailsFull-time, 40 hours/weekOn-site in Princeton, NJ - Fridays flexibleStart: August or September 2026Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000Performance bonus eligibleWe think the best teams don't need a hero.
