Senior Consultant - Data Analytics and Reporting

In this role, you will design and deliver data extraction, transformation, and reporting solutions that turn complex, fragmented data into clear, decision ready insight. The role centres on building robust data pipelines, profiling and validating data quality, and producing reporting and visualisation outputs that support commercial and operational decision making. We are particularly looking for people with strong technical grounding in SQL and data warehousing, a structured approach to problem solving, and, ideally, exposure to the financial services sector.ResponsibilitiesLead the extraction, profiling, and validation of data from multiple source systems, identifying quality issues and remediation approaches early.Design, build, and maintain ETL processes that move data reliably and efficiently from source systems into reporting and analytics environments.Develop reporting and visualisation outputs that translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insight for business stakeholders.Write and optimise SQL queries and scripts to support data extraction, transformation, and analysis at scale.Contribute to the design and ongoing maintenance of data warehousing structures, ensuring data is well organised, well documented, and fit for purpose.Apply Python, where relevant, to automate data processing tasks and improve the efficiency of analytics workflows.Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical, sustainable data solutions.Support the transition of data and reporting solutions from design into production, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and ease of use.Where relevant, apply domain knowledge of the financial services sector to ensure solutions meet industry specific data, reporting, and control requirements.Skills RequiredDemonstrated experience in data extraction and profiling, including identifying and resolving data quality issues.Hands on experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes.Strong capability in reporting and visualisation, with the ability to present complex data clearly to varied audiences.Proficiency in SQL, including query writing, optimisation, and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of Python is an advantage, though not essential.Practical experience with data warehousing concepts, design, and maintenance.A background in financial services is an advantage, though not essential.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non technical audiences.
