You sit within the platform team that runs its IT infrastructure, in a security-classified environment where availability and information security are not negotiable. The role is full-time on-site and requires a security clearance.Your missionYou run and evolve the whole infrastructure, from daily operations to migrations, so the platform stays available, secure and documented.Run the infrastructureManage and support servers, storage, backups and the local area network, day to dayAdminister directory, messaging and remote desktop services across sitesKeep the platform availableOperate highly redundant virtualisation clusters and failover clusters, including virtual desktopsMigrate virtual and physical machines with no loss of serviceSecure and maintainManage anti-virus protection, hardening and product updates across the estateAnalyse needs, propose infrastructure solutions and document what you put in placeYour profileWhat Is EssentialAt least 7 years in IT, including 5 years designing and managing complex IT infrastructures, network and security includedA valid NATO SECRET security clearance, or a dormant clearance that can be reactivatedWindows Server and workstation systems, multi-site Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO), Exchange and Remote Desktop Services farmsVMware vSphere 6 or later in multi-site clusters, Hyper-V and VDI, plus Microsoft failover clusteringSolid hardware knowledge, and no reluctance to work hands-on with physical equipmentWhat makes the differenceCertification on Windows Server 2016 or Microsoft ExchangePatch and update management at scale, for example with WSUSPrevious work for an international organisation or in a defence environmentLanguagesRequired: fluent professional English Asset: French, German or any other languageWhat You Find With UsA tribe.
