In this role, you will work closely with senior executives and top management teams across a variety of industries, providing data-driven strategic insights and recommendations, primarily focused on cross-border business initiatives and transactions between Japan and North America. The job provides good opportunities for a candidate to enter and grow a career in management consulting industry, with the following advantages:Be a founding member of a newly set-up division in the US market, with a promising career potential as future senior management of the company.Exposure to not only US market, but also market like APAC, India, and other high growth region, as well as exposure to diverse industries.Exposure to top management of clients and understanding their issues, and supporting closely with decision making process.About the RoleThe Strategy Unit manages a wide range of client engagements across various areas of strategy consulting, including:ResponsibilitiesLead and manage strategy consulting projects from planning through execution and client delivery.Conduct market research, competitive analysis, industry assessments, and regulatory research using both primary and secondary research methodologies.Develop data-driven business cases, strategic recommendations, and actionable solutions for clients.Present findings and recommendations to senior executives and client management teams in a clear and compelling manner.Prepare client deliverables, including reports, presentations, and executive materials, primarily using Microsoft PowerPoint.Serve as a project manager, ensuring timely delivery, effective stakeholder communication, and overall project success.Collaborate closely with team members across the United States, Japan, Singapore, and other APAC offices to support project execution.Contribute to business development activities, including proposal development, client relationship management, and project acquisition efforts.Mentor and support the development of junior consultants, fostering team growth and capability building.Assist in team-building initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Strategy Consulting practice.Perform other responsibilities necessary to support successful project execution and client engagement outcomes.Additional Expectations for Manager-Level CandidatesLead larger and more complex client engagements with greater autonomy.Drive proposal development and play a key role in winning new business opportunities.Take ownership of team leadership, talent development, and strategic growth initiatives within the consulting practice.Working Hours / Working styleCompany regular business hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.Working LocationLos Angeles, CA Hybrid Working StylePay range and compensation package$120K-150K ・Competitive salary and bonus package・Comprehensive health benefits・Dynamic and collaborative work environmentHolidaysSaturdays, Sundays, and National Major HolidaysQualificationsMinimum 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, investment banking, market research, corporate strategy, or corporate planning.Senior Consultant: Typically 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years at a strategy consulting firm).Manager: Typically 7–10+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years at a strategy consulting firm).Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Candidates on STEM OPT may be considered depending on qualifications and experience.Japanese language proficiency required:Senior Consultant: Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent).Manager: Fluent Japanese proficiency required.Strong business acumen with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Ability to structure complex issues, develop logical recommendations, and communicate solutions effectively across various industries.Professional mindset with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.Self-motivated learner with a willingness to take on new challenges and expand expertise beyond existing areas of knowledge.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel is required.
