Senior Contracts ManagerWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Contracts Manager to lead all contractual and commercial governance functions. This role will serve as the Company's primary contractual advisor, ensuring effective contract administration, compliance, entitlement management, risk mitigation, and dispute avoidance throughout the entire project lifecycle.The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the Company's contractual interests while supporting successful project delivery across major EPC projects in the power, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience in contract negotiations, claims management, risk assessment, dispute resolution, and stakeholder engagement within complex project environments.WHO WE ARETarget Engineering brings 50+ years of experience in EPC and industrial infrastructure. Join a business with deep technical roots, where your voice is heard, your impact is visible, and your career is part of a legacy of excellence.YOUR ROLEAs Senior Contracts Manager you willContract Governance & AdministrationLead the implementation of contract administration procedures across multiple projects.Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, corporate governance standards, and project procedures.Provide expert interpretation of contractual rights, obligations, and responsibilities.Establish contractual compliance frameworks and conduct regular compliance audits.Maintain complete and auditable contract records throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor contractual deliverables, notice requirements, milestones, and obligations.Oversee contractual correspondence and document control processes.Pre-Award Contract Review & NegotiationReview tender and contract documentation to identify risks, liabilities, and contractual obligations.Support bid and tender teams during proposal preparation and contract negotiations.Participate in client clarification meetings and commercial negotiations.Assess contract terms related to indemnities, liabilities, insurance, warranties, delays, and dispute resolution.Recommend contractual amendments to strengthen the Company's commercial position.Advise management on contractual acceptance risks and obligations.Contractual Risk ManagementIdentify and assess contractual risks related to projects, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Develop and maintain project contractual risk registers.Establish mitigation strategies and monitor implementation effectiveness.Conduct periodic risk assessment workshops with project teams.Ensure contractual obligations are clearly allocated and communicated to stakeholders.Notices, Correspondence & Entitlement PreservationEstablish and monitor notice management systems across projects.Ensure all contractual notices are issued within prescribed timelines.Review and approve contractual correspondence before submission.Maintain registers for notices, instructions, directives, claims, and client communications.Protect the Company's contractual rights and entitlements through proactive contract administration.Change Management & Contractual EntitlementsLead contractual change management processes.Assess contractual implications arising from scope changes, variations, delays, disruptions, and acceleration measures.Ensure all changes are properly documented and contractually evaluated prior to implementation.Maintain comprehensive variation and change registers.Claims & Extension of Time (EOT) ManagementLead contract strategy for claim identification, preparation, and entitlement preservation.Evaluate contractual claims related to delays, disruptions, suspensions, and client-driven changes.Coordinate with planning, engineering, and project teams to substantiate claims.Assess entitlement for Extension of Time (EOT) requests.Lead negotiations with clients regarding claims and contractual entitlement matters.Maintain claims and EOT registers and support proactive dispute avoidance.Subcontract Contract ManagementReview and administer subcontract agreements.Ensure subcontract terms align with upstream contractual obligations.Manage subcontractor notices, claims, correspondence, disputes, and closeout activities.Support procurement and project teams during subcontract negotiations.Dispute Avoidance & ResolutionDevelop and implement dispute avoidance strategies.Lead negotiations to resolve contractual disagreements and disputed matters.Coordinate with legal counsel and external advisors when necessary.Support mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation processes.Provide management with strategic advice on contractual disputes and exposure.Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary contractual interface between clients and the Company.Collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Procurement, Engineering, Legal, Consultants, PMCs, Authorities, and Subcontractors.Represent the organization during contractual meetings, negotiations, and commercial discussions.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.Monitor changes in contract law and industry standards impacting project execution.Support internal and external contract audits.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop Contracts Engineers and Contracts professionals.Deliver contractual awareness and training programs across project teams.Drive continuous improvement and best practices in contract management.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation / Certifications / LicensesBachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.Master's Degree in Contract Management, Construction Law, Business Administration, or related field preferred.FIDIC Certification or equivalent international contract management certification.Preferred if candidate is Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM); Project Management Professional (PMP); Other recognized contract management or construction law certificationsExperienceMinimum 15 years of contract management experience within EPC environments.Strong background in Oil & Gas, Power, Energy, Infrastructure, or Civil Construction Projects.Extensive experience managing large-scale EPC contracts and complex commercial arrangements.Proven expertise in: Contract negotiation;
