You will be on calls with Irish and European clients daily, leading technical discussions without support. We need someone who has already worked in an English-speaking environment — with international clients, an overseas parent company, or a global team — not someone who is still building that confidence.If you are not comfortable running a technical discussion in English on a live call, this role will not suit you.The roleWe are looking for a Senior Conveyor Design Engineer with genuine hands-on depth in belt and roller conveyor design — someone who has built and commissioned conveyor systems, not just detailed drawings to someone else's spec.What you'll ownDesign of belt and roller conveyor systems from concept through to commissioningSizing and calculation: belt selection, roller sizing, motor and gearbox selection, drive power, capacity and throughputStructural design of frames, stringers, supports, walkways and transfer pointsComponent selection: motors, drives, bearings, rollers, chains, pneumatics, sensorsMarket and vendor sourcing — researching suppliers, comparing specifications, integrating supplier CAD modelsManufacturing and assembly drawings a fabrication shop can build fromSupporting build, FAT, installation and commissioningLeading technical discussions and design reviews directly with our clientsWhat we needExcellent spoken and written English, with proven experience working in an English-speaking environment — international clients, overseas stakeholders, or a global team6+ years designing belt and roller conveyor systems — you have built and commissioned themStrong calculation ability: capacity, throughput, drive power, torque, belt tension, roller loadingStrong SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD, including large assembliesProven component selection and vendor sourcing experienceSelf-directed, able to work with minimal supervisionNice to havePallet handling, transfer mechanisms, vertical lift or ASRS-integrated systemsWider SPM or automation equipment design experienceExposure to European standards (CE marking, machinery safety)Automotive, warehouse automation or material handling backgroundFamiliarity with GD&T and DFMWhat you getDirect client exposure — you speak to the people using your systemsReal ownership of projects from day oneA growing company where senior engineers shape how we work
