Apply & track with Apply EdgeCoordinator, Production PlanningThe Production Planner is responsible for developing a 12-month production plan for finished goods and components, aligned with Demand Planning forecasts and safety stock targets to ensure optimal inventory levels. This role is highly analytical and focused on SKU-level planning, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and validate monthly finished goods production plans and component supply requirements to support on-time delivery and targeted fill rate performanceMaintain accuracy and integrity of production planning parameters within systemsSet production priorities and communicate availability timelines to Demand Planning to ensure visibility for sales and customer needsEffectively communicate and influence cross-functional stakeholdersManage inventory levels across finished goods, work-in-progress, and components, including excess, obsolete, and slow-moving itemsDrive proactive production and inventory strategies to minimize out-of-stocks while balancing demand variability and supply constraintsBuild and maintain accurate planning tools and files to support production scheduling, inventory management, and decision-makingOversee the depletion of obsolete components and coordinate transitions to new materials to ensure continuity of productionAnalyze and adjust SKU-level lead times to improve supply reliability and reduce inventory riskEvaluate lead times across product categories and recommend optimization opportunities based on portfolio insightsSupport special program planning and conduct performance analysis to inform future planning strategies Requirements:3-5 years of experience in production planning or a related field (cosmetics/beauty industry preferred)Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and analytical capabilitiesAbility to develop and execute both short- and long-term plans aligned with business objectivesDemonstrates strong business judgment and high ethical standardsProven ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneouslyThrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environmentStrong listening skills with a collaborative mindset and positive attitude Our PerksSalary range: $66,500-75,000 (Compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill level, relevant work experience & education)Medical, dental, vision, 401K plan & access to health & wellness programsPaid vacation, holidays, summer Fridays, birthdays off, volunteer time & moreMakeup gratis, employee discount on tarte.com, team give back initiativesFriendly, fun, creative & collaborative work environmentTarte is an equal opportunity employer.
