Excellence in Delivery.Position Overview: To support the - Transport & Distribution Department through the gathering, cleansing, sorting and aggregation of data from various sources. To then consult on the business information and decision-making needs, and design, plan, coordinate and manage data to generate output reports and presentations.Working with shipping companies to ensure that shipments arrive on time and in good conditionCoordinating the flow of materials and products through distribution centers or warehousesMaintaining accurate inventory records in order to identify overstocks or shortagesReviewing orders to make sure they have been filled correctly and that all necessary information is includedPlanning routes and schedules for transport vehicles in order to meet delivery deadlinesCoordinating with suppliers or vendors to arrange deliveries of materials or products to clientsDeveloping new methods for storing or transporting goods that can help reduce costs or increase efficiencyReviewing shipping costs to determine the most cost effective method of transporting goodsSupporting other departments within a company by providing them with logistical support during events such as trade showsQualification and Experience:Recognized degree in Data Science, Analytics or Data Management related field (MBA preferred)A minimum of 3 years in a supply chain and logistics operations field (preferred)MS OfficeSupply Chain and Logistics systemsData Management/Data SciencePower BIDatabase languagesAccess Database
