Senior Corporate Counsel

We are working with a growing technology company in Irvine that is looking to add a Senior Corporate Counsel to take ownership of the commercial and corporate legal workload as the company scales. This person will sit inside a small, high-functioning legal team and work directly with leadership across product, finance, and marketing on deals and agreements that touch the core of how the business operates.Desired Skills7+ years of experience with a background that includes time in-house at a technology or software company. Some law firm experience early in a career is fine, but candidates who have never moved beyond the law firm environment and into a true counsel role will not be a strong fitHands-on experience negotiating and closing vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, marketing and influencer agreements, licensing arrangements, and strategic partnerships, with the ability to think through business risk rather than just legal riskActive daily use of AI tools in legal work. The team has fully adopted AI into their workflow and this is a baseline expectation, not a nice to haveExperience mentoring junior legal staff and the ability to take ownership of the in-house counsel function with a clear path to grow into a leadership role over timeThis is a hybrid role based in Irvine.
