Senior Cost Control Engineer

Job SummaryResponsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget and financial targets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain project budgets, cost plans, and cost control systems.Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, and expenditures against approved budgets.Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, cash flow, and cost-to-complete reports.Analyze cost variances and identify potential cost overruns and financial risks.Review subcontractor, supplier, procurement, and variation costs.Monitor project progress against budget and provide accurate financial forecasts.Coordinate with Commercial, Procurement, Planning, Finance, and Project teams.Support preparation and evaluation of variations, change orders, and claims.Maintain accurate cost breakdown structures and project cost databases.Provide management with regular cost analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.Ensure compliance with company cost-control procedures and approved project budgets.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.8+ years of cost control experience in major construction projects.Experience with mega construction, hospitality, mixed-use, infrastructure, or high-value projects is preferred.Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, variations, and financial analysis.Proficiency in Excel and cost-control/project management systems; ERP experience is an advantage.Strong analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
