The position combines structural CAE preprocessing, advanced human body modeling, airbag deployment kinematics, seat belt interaction analysis, and full-vehicle crashworthiness workflows.Role OverviewYou will take technical ownership of occupant protection simulation workflows, model setup, and preprocessing automation for critical safety initiatives.Your responsibilities encompass the entire simulation lifecycle—from precision mesh refinement and human body positioning to complex restraint system integration, solver setup, and cross-border methodology alignment between European and Asian engineering hubs.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and refine high-fidelity vehicle crash safety simulation models with an emphasis on occupant protection and restraint interactions.Utilize ANSA extensively to perform complex preprocessing, structural mesh optimization, quality verification, and automated workflow enhancements.Manage Human Body Model (HBM) articulation, positioning, and target alignment across diverse crash vector scenarios.Execute accurate airbag mesh folding, inflation dynamics, contact surface definitions, and deployment setups.Construct and validate complete seat belt architectures, including geometric routing, retractor dynamics, pretensioner mechanics, and load limiter profiles.Execute comprehensive crash simulation pipelines across frontal, lateral, rear impact, and regulatory crash conditions.Collaborate closely with international engineering groups in Paris and Shenzhen to standardize CAE methodologies and improve solver efficiency.Author technical documentation, lead methodology workshops, and establish standard operating procedures for occupant safety analysis.Required ExperienceDeep practical expertise in crash safety simulation within an automotive OEM, Tier-1 supplier, or specialized engineering consultancy.Advanced, hands-on mastery of ANSA for complex preprocessing, model assembly, and quality control.Comprehensive technical understanding of occupant kinematics, restraint hardware, seat belt mechanics, and dummy/HBM positioning.Proven background using explicit crash solvers (e.g., LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, Abaqus/Explicit, or similar).Demonstrated experience delivering full-vehicle crash, occupant interaction, or restraint system validation projects.Strong ability to operate autonomously in a remote structure while coordinating with international engineering units.Professional fluency in written and spoken English.Preferred: Background working directly with BETA CAE platforms or writing custom ANSA automation scripts (Python/Scripting).Preferred: Familiarity with global safety ratings and standards (such as Euro NCAP, C-NCAP, FMVSS, or ECE) and advanced HBM suites (THUMS, GHBMC, SAFER).This is an opportunity to solve intricate engineering challenges at the intersection of computational mechanics, biomechanics, and virtual vehicle safety.
