Senior Credit Controller

We are working with a leading professional services business seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join its global Finance team. This is a senior opportunity with day-to-day ownership of complex credit control and collections activity, acting as a key escalation point for high-value, aged and sensitive debt matters. You’ll play an important role in supporting cash flow, managing working capital and reducing bad debt exposure, while ensuring a commercially focused and compliant approach to credit control.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Take ownership of complex collections, aged debt and account queries, acting as a senior escalation pointLead regular credit control reviews with client leads and senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and ensuring agreed actions are progressedSupport the development and implementation of a clear and effective credit control policy, balancing strong client relationships with timely collectionsProvide detailed input into debtor valuations, identifying trends, risks and potential bad debt exposure. Prepare and present aged debt reports, cash collection updates and working capital analysis to Finance and senior stakeholdersLiaise confidently with clients, administrators, directors and internal teams to resolve billing, payment and account queriesSupport and guide colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and promoting consistent standards across credit control activityCommunicate the commercial and regulatory impact of non-collection and recommend practical steps to mitigate riskQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Proven experience in credit control, collections and working capital management within professional services or a similarly complex environmentExperience managing large international clients and complex debt mattersStrong analytical skills, including aged debt reporting, debtor risk assessment and performance monitoringProficiency in financial systems and Microsoft ExcelExperience with Elite 3E, Elite Enterprise or Viewpoint would be advantageousSKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levelsSound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and complex debt mattersMust be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
