We are expanding from pre-filing validation into post-entry work, and we are hiring the domain brain to get it right.THE ROLEYou will be the senior domain authority behind our post-entry audit engine — the person who decides what a defensible finding looks like before any software is allowed to show it to a client.• Define and stress-test detection logic across the full recovery surface: fees (MPF/HMF), USMCA/FTA preference and 1520(d), Section 301 exclusions, classification and valuation, liquidation timing, and duty drawback• Set the evidence standard per claim type — what documentation must exist before anything is filed, and what survives a CF-28• Review engine output line by line and kill false positives without mercy• Own the deadline discipline: PSC, protest, 1520(d), drawback, and liquidation clocks• Shape how findings are packaged for the licensed brokers and attorneys who file them• Be the human gate: nothing customer-facing ships without your sign-offWHAT YOU HAVE DONE (not what you "are")• 7+ years of hands-on post-entry work: protests you drafted, PSCs you filed, 1520(d) claims you recovered, drawback claims you built• Found real money in real entry data — you can tell us the biggest recovery you ever surfaced and exactly how you found it• Lived the 2025–2026 tariff wave hands-on: IEEPA refunds, CAPE, Section 232/301 churn• Pulled and worked ACE reports (ES-series) yourself — not through a subordinate• Answered CBP inquiries (CF-28/CF-29) and defended your own claimsSTRONG SIGNALS• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or CCS certification• Drawback specialty experience• You have sharp opinions about where AI belongs in this work — and where it absolutely does notWHAT WE OFFER• Founding-team influence: your judgment becomes the product's law• Remote-first and async-friendly; competitive compensation with meaningful early-stage equity• A team that already treats "empty findings ≠ clean" and "cite the regulation or it doesn't ship" as house rulesHOW TO APPLYSkip the cover letter.
