Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

Snapnet is looking for a strong Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Consultant who can combine deep technical capability with customer engagement, solution delivery and commercial awarenessThis is not a purely operational SOC role and it is not a governance-only position. We are looking for someone who can get hands-on when required, lead customer engagements, design solutions, and support presales.What you will doYou will work across key areas of cybersecurity, including:· Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing· Web application and API security testing· Network and infrastructure security· SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR and MDR· SOC and Managed Security Services· IAM, PAM and Zero Trust· Cloud security across Azure and AWS· Ransomware protection and cyber resilience· Vulnerability and patch management· Incident response and threat management· Application security and DevSecOps· Security architecture· Security assessments and advisory engagements · Cybersecurity governance and compliance You will also:· Lead and support customer cybersecurity assessments.· Conduct or supervise VAPT engagements.· Develop technical reports and remediation recommendations.· Design cybersecurity architectures and solutions.· Lead technical workshops, demonstrations and Proofs of Concept.· Support cybersecurity proposals and RFP responses.· Work with Sales to identify and qualify cybersecurity opportunities.· Engage OEM partners on solution design and delivery.· Support the development of managed cybersecurity services.· Develop technical methodologies, playbooks and service templates.· Mentor junior cybersecurity engineers.· Participate in internal security assessments across Snapnet's technology platforms.· Help convert cybersecurity capabilities into repeatable commercial services.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate should have:· 7–10+ years of relevant cybersecurity or information security experience.· Strong hands-on technical cybersecurity experience.· Experience delivering cybersecurity projects for enterprise customers.· Practical VAPT experience covering web applications, APIs, networks or infrastructure.· Experience with technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, IAM, PAM or vulnerability management.· Good understanding of cloud security across Azure and/or AWS.· Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common application-security vulnerabilities.· Understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and MITRE ATT&CK.· Ability to independently investigate and resolve technical cybersecurity problems.· Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.· Good customer-facing and presentation skills.· Experience supporting technical presales engagements.· Ability to work with Sales, technical teams, OEMs and customers.· Commercial awareness and interest in building a cybersecurity services business.Practical Technical CapabilityWe are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable working with tools and technologies such as:· Burp Suite· OWASP ZAP· Nessus· Greenbone/OpenVAS· Nmap · Nuclei· Metasploit· Kali Linux· Wireshark· Postman· SIEM/SOAR platforms· EDR/XDR platforms· IAM/PAM technologies· Azure and AWS security toolsYou do not need to be an expert in every technology listed, but you must demonstrate strong technical fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.CertificationsRelevant certifications are an advantage, including:· CISSP· CISM· OSCP· CEH· Security+· CCSP· Microsoft Security certifications· AWS Security certifications· ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor · GIAC or equivalent technical certifications Certifications alone will not substitute for practical experience.
