Senior Data & Reporting Analyst

Experience: 8+ yearsFocus: 70% Reporting / Power BI | 30% Data EngineeringAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Data & Reporting Analyst with 8+ years of experience across business intelligence, enterprise reporting, data analytics and data engineering.The successful candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL, with proven experience designing and delivering complex dashboards, reporting solutions and analytical datasets.This role has a strong reporting focus, while also requiring solid data engineering capability across Snowflake, dbt, data pipelines, transformations and data quality.You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, translate business needs into effective BI solutions, and ensure reporting datasets are accurate, scalable and fit for purpose.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, reports and enterprise reporting solutions.Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns and Power Query transformations.Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.Build and maintain robust data models and reporting datasets.Develop and optimise complex SQL queries for reporting and analytical purposes.Work with Snowflake to support data extraction, transformation and reporting workloads.Develop and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt.Contribute to data pipelines, data integration, transformations and data quality processes.Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, reporting requirements and business rules.Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts and business teams to deliver enterprise BI solutions.Ensure Power BI solutions follow appropriate standards for performance, usability, governance and maintainability.Support continuous improvement of reporting platforms, data models and analytics processes.Key Requirements8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or related disciplines.Strong hands-on experience with Power BI.Advanced DAX skills.Strong experience with Power Query.Strong SQL development and data analysis skills.Proven experience designing and delivering complex dashboards, reports and BI solutions.Strong understanding of data modelling, reporting requirements and analytical datasets.Hands-on experience with Snowflake.Good experience with dbt and modern data transformation practices.Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, transformations and data quality.Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into practical reporting solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams.Preferred Technology StackPower BIDAXPower QuerySQLSnowflakedbtAzure / AWSModern cloud data platformsData pipelines and ETL/ELT technologiesIndustry ExperienceTelecommunications / Telco experience is preferred but not mandatory.Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex reporting requirements, high-volume datasets and multiple stakeholder groups will be highly regarded.Role Focus70% – Power BI / Enterprise Reporting / Analytics30% – Data Engineering / Data Transformation / Data QualityIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a senior hands-on BI professional who can independently own reporting requirements from business stakeholder engagement through to data modelling, development, testing and delivery.They should be equally comfortable discussing reporting requirements with business users and working with technical teams on SQL, Snowflake, dbt, data pipelines and reporting datasets.
