Your New CompanyA leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a high-performing Financial Crime and Regulatory Reporting team. This team plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations through robust data governance, reporting, monitoring controls and insightful analytics.Your New RoleAs a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights that support Financial Crime Detection capabilities and regulatory reporting requirements. You will design and maintain automated monitoring controls, perform complex data analysis across multiple systems, and provide stakeholders with meaningful reporting to support risk and compliance outcomes.Working closely with business stakeholders, compliance teams and transformation programs, you will help ensure the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of critical data used in regulatory reporting processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain analytical solutions to support Financial Crime Detection and Regulatory Reporting activities.Create and maintain SAS and SQL-based automated routines that monitor critical data quality and reporting controls.Extract, transform, validate and load data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis.Develop data monitoring controls to identify missing, incomplete or inaccurate data flows.Produce regular management reporting, dashboards and performance metrics for business stakeholders.Perform detailed analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.Maintain and enhance existing reporting platforms, systems and controls.Collaborate with business, compliance and transformation teams to improve reporting effectiveness and operational performance.Deliver clear and concise reporting, presentations and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Support continuous improvement initiatives across data governance and reporting frameworks.What You'll Need to SucceedEssential ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in a Data Analyst, Senior Analyst or similar analytical role.Advanced SAS programming experience.Strong SQL development and data interrogation skills.Demonstrated experience working with large-scale and complex datasets.Experience developing automated reporting solutions and data quality controls.Strong data manipulation, validation and analytical capabilities.Excellent verbal, written and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences.Highly DesirableExperience within Financial Crime, AML, Risk, Compliance or Regulatory Reporting environments.Database design and development experience.Teradata experience.Oracle SQL experience.Experience with BI and reporting tools including:TableauSAS BIPower BIExposure to data governance, data quality and control frameworks.Experience supporting regulatory reporting and compliance functions.What You'll Get In ReturnOpportunity to work on critical regulatory and financial crime initiatives.Exposure to enterprise-scale data and reporting environments.Collaborative and supportive team culture.Flexible working arrangements.Competitive salary and career development opportunities.
