We deliver actionable data-driven insights across diverse global shipping, trade, offshore, renewables and energy datasets. You will have the opportunity to build on your data analytics skills, and develop deep knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced industry that sits at the heart of the world economy. What you’ll be doing:Use the latest data science tools and techniques for data processing, analysis and visualisation of large, complex data setsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, plan deliverables, and track implementation with analysts, data engineers and developersIncorporate advanced AI and algorithms where relevantLead implementation of ETL and processing pipelines, data derivation and analysisWork across teams, support clients and report progress to senior managementYou’ll need to have:3-4 years’ data analytics experience working with complex data models Ability to update technical and non-technical stakeholders on progress on projectsExperience supervising junior analysts, data engineers and developersExcellent SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures and spatialWorking knowledge of Python, JSON and DAX Ability to deliver actionable insights clearly using visualisation tools such as Power BIStrong numerical, data handling and analytical skillsA degree in a relevant numerate or analytical subjectGood organisational skills and strong attention to detailWe love to see:Curiosity and willingness to learn new techniques, programming languages and software toolsAppreciation of the wider data science technology landscape including Databricks Awareness of global trade, economics and statisticsDetails:Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) plus bonus and benefitsLocation: London/Midlands/HybridNumber of vacancies: 1-2Start date: Q3 2026Closing date: 13th September 2026 (applications accepted and reviewed immediately)Working at Clarksons Research:Clarksons Research is the leading global provider of intelligence and research across shipping, trade, offshore and energy.
