The RoleWe are building and expanding our reporting and analytics capability into a proper, well-governed BI platform-serving both our internal organisation and our customers.As Senior Data Analyst you are the driving force behind this platform. You lay the technical foundation, translate business questions into meaningful insight, and act as a trusted sparring partner for internal stakeholders and clients. You collaborate closely with an existing data analyst in the wider team to align on standards and ways of working. You are not only responsible for building reports, but for creating a trusted decision-support environment across the organisation and for our customers.What you will doDesign and build the reporting and analytics foundation from the ground up - data models, a semantic layer, governance, naming conventions and reusable standardsEstablish and maintain a consistent KPI framework and business glossary to ensure a single source of truth across the organisationDevelop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for both internal use and delivery to customers, with a focus on quality, consistency and reusabilityGather requirements from stakeholders and translate ambiguous, high-level questions into concrete analytical solutions - you understand the question behind the questionAdvise and spar with internal teams and clients: challenge assumptions, propose better ways to measure, and turn data into decisions rather than just chartsPresent analytical findings in a clear, business-focused manner and influence decision-making at multiple organisational levelsHelp shape the direction and roadmap of the reporting platform together with stakeholders, while also delivering hands-on within agreed prioritiesDesign and implement data quality monitoring, validation processes and reconciliation checks to ensure trust in reporting outputsSafeguard documentation, governance and a maintainable, well-governed environment as the platform growsCollaborate closely with the other data analyst in the team to share standards, avoid duplication and raise the overall quality barWhat are we looking forAround 5+ years of experience in BI / data analytics, including work at a senior, self-directed levelStrong hands-on Power BI expertise: data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and effective dashboard designSolid SQL and dimensional data modelling (e.g. star schema) skills.Proven experience setting up a BI / reporting foundation and governance from scratch - not only working within an existing oneUnderstanding of data security, privacy and access-control principles in analytics environmentsStrong requirements-gathering and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable in front of both internal and customer audiencesBusiness acumen: you can move from a vague business question to the right data and the right answerFluent, confident English - spoken and written - for customer-facing communicationNice-to-haveExperience with the Microsoft data stack (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, dataflows) and/or a data lake environmentFamiliarity with ERP data or IT-services / managed-services domainsExperience mentoring or being the go-to reference point for reporting within a teamPersonality and ways of workingConsultative and curious - you dig for the real need instead of just building what is asked.Autonomous and proactive, comfortable setting direction where there isn’t one yet.A strong communicator who can bridge business and technical worlds.Collaborative - you enjoy working across teams and locations.LocationSofia, BulgariaThis is a full-time role with a hybrid working model.Why join HiyvHiyv operates at the intersection of AI, cloud, software engineering, platform operations and enterprise-scale digital transformation.
