About TLA Financial ServicesTLA Financial Services is undergoing a strategic transformation to build a modern, data-driven organization that improves operational efficiency, scalability, reporting capabilities, automation readiness, and future AI adoption.As part of this journey, TLA is creating its first permanent internal Data & Analytics capability to support executive decision-making, operational reporting, KPI management, and the evolution toward a corporate Data Platform and Lakehouse architecture.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Data Analyst to become the primary analytics and reporting resource within TLA.This role bridges business operations and technology, helping transform operational data into reliable management information, dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights.The successful candidate will work closely with Data architect, business stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Product Operations, and Technology teams to build reporting capabilities, document business logic, develop Power BI solutions, and contribute to the future evolution of TLA's corporate data platform.This is not a pure reporting role.This is a foundational position that will help establish TLA's long-term data capabilities and reporting standards. Key ResponsibilitiesReporting & Analytics:Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and management reports.Produce executive-level reporting and operational analytics.Support development of cross-functional KPI frameworks.Create recurring and ad-hoc reports for business leadership.Validate reporting consistency across operational systems.Data Management & Business Intelligence:Develop and maintain semantic models and reporting datasets.Build reusable reporting definitions and business metrics.Document business rules, KPI calculations, and reporting logic.Support data quality validation and reconciliation activities.Identify reporting gaps and improvement opportunities.Business Partnership:Work closely with business SMEs to understand operational processes.Gradually absorb institutional and functional knowledge.Translate business requirements into analytical solutions.Facilitate workshops to define KPIs and reporting needs.Support ownership and governance of business definitions and metrics.Continuous Improvement & Automation:Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting activities.Support automation of recurring analytical processes.Contribute to the evolution toward governed and scalable reporting.Participate in future data governance and semantic layer initiatives.Assist in preparing data assets for future AI and automation use cases.Data Platform Evolution:Support the transition from operational reporting to corporate reporting.Participate in validation of integrated data sources.Collaborate with Data Architecture initiatives.Help establish data standards, traceability, and governance practices.Contribute to TLA's long-term AI-Ready Data Lakehouse and Corporate Data Platform roadmap, supporting governed semantic models, trusted corporate reporting, data democratization, and future AI-driven analytics capabilities.Required QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in: Data AnalyticsBusiness IntelligenceInformation SystemsComputer ScienceEngineeringMathematicsStatisticsRelated disciplineExperience:3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting.Experience building dashboards and executive reporting solutions.Experience working directly with business stakeholders.Experience translating business requirements into analytical deliverables.Required Technical SkillsAnalytics & Reporting:Advanced Power BIDAXPower QuerySQLData modelingKPI design and reportingData Tools:Microsoft Excel (Advanced)Data validation and reconciliation techniquesData transformation and preparationBusiness Analysis:Requirements gatheringProcess analysisDocumentationBusiness metrics definitionPreferred Skills:Experience with financial services, mortgage, title, escrow, lending, or real estate-related industries.Experience integrating multiple operational systems.Knowledge of modern Data Platforms and Data Lakehouse concepts.Familiarity with HubSpot analytics.Exposure to AWS data services.Understanding of data governance and semantic modeling.Experience working in growing organizations undergoing digital transformation.Soft SkillsWe are looking for someone who is:Highly analytical and detail-oriented.Strong communicator with business stakeholders.Comfortable working independently.Pragmatic and execution-focused.Curious and eager to learn operational processes.Able to balance technical and business perspectives.Comfortable working in an evolving environment with changing priorities.
