Senior Data Analyst-Romania

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced SQL knowledge, experience with BI and data visualization tools, and the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable business insights.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI or similar BI tools.Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.Define and track KPIs and other business performance metrics.Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analytical outputs.Identify data quality issues and work with technical teams to resolve them.Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.Automate recurring reporting and data analysis processes where possible.Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other technical teams to improve data availability and usability.Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analytics processes, methodologies, and best practices.Requirements5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related field.Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.Advanced experience with Power BI or another enterprise BI platform.Strong understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and visualization principles.Experience working with large datasets and complex data structures.Strong knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis techniques.Experience with data transformation and preparation using tools such as Power Query.Ability to translate business requirements into technical and analytical solutions.Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and performance reporting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Good understanding of data quality and data governance principles.Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Fluent English.Nice to HaveExperience with Python for data analysis and automation.Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.Experience with ETL/ELT processes.Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
