Senior Azure Data Engineer – Azure, Data Factory, Python, PySpark, DevOps/Data Ops, Agile, Team Lead, Mentoring – Financial Services – Permanent, up to £90,000 Base + BonusMy Client, a Leading Private Bank, are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will be located in London and will be x4days/week in office.You will support the building and evolving of the data capabilities that supports the business. You’ll design, develop, and maintain complex data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and publishing pipelines, while helping ensure our platform is secure, scalable, reliable, and built to strong engineering standards. You provided day to day support across the live data platform, resolving incidents and fulfilling business request. In addition, you will champion Data Engineering, Data Ops and DevOps best practices maintaining high standards of code quality, testing, automation, and continuous delivery.As a senior member of the team, you’ll also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers, championing DataOps/DevOps best practices and driving continuous improvement.What we’re looking for:Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SynapseExcellent Python and substantial PySpark experienceExperience building and testing robust data pipelinesStrong DevOps/DataOps knowledge and automated testing experienceExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsExperience mentoring and developing engineersGood understanding of data security, GDPR, privacy and information securityExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams as well as manage Stakeholders.Microsoft Fabric experience is a plusThis is a great opportunity to work on meaningful data engineering challenges within a regulated private banking environment, while helping shape engineering standards and develop the next generation of data talent.
