Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer (AWS + AI) Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite) Experience: 11+ Years Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS data ecosystem and emerging AI technologies. This role combines data engineering, distributed processing, and Agentic AI innovation to build scalable, high-performance data solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows on AWSDevelop scalable data solutions using Spark, AWS Glue, EMR, and RedshiftLead data modeling, performance tuning, and warehouse optimization initiativesBuild and manage high-performance ETL pipelines into Amazon RedshiftImplement workflow orchestration using Airflow, Step Functions, and LambdaWork on next-gen AI solutions leveraging Agentic AI frameworks (A2A, MCP, LangGraph, Claude, Kiro)Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot) to accelerate engineering productivityEnable reporting and analytics through strong data warehousing design (star/snowflake schemas)Required Skills8+ years in data warehousing / data engineering, with 4+ years in AWS ecosystemStrong experience in distributed data processing (Spark, Glue, EMR)Hands-on with Python, PySpark, and SQLExpertise in Amazon Redshift (performance tuning, schema design, workload management)Experience in ETL pipeline development and optimizationKnowledge of data modeling & dimensional design conceptsFamiliarity with Iceberg tables (preferred)Experience with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, and Lambda orchestrationExposure to Agentic AI & modern AI/ML frameworksQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology
