Senior Data Engineer – Data Warehouse & Analytics

Our platform delivers secure, scalable, and fully customizable enterprise management solutions with a 99.9% uptime guarantee, accessible anytime, anywhere, across multiple devices.At Daftra, we simplify business operations by empowering organizations with flexible systems that grow with their needs backed by strong engineering, product excellence, and customer-centric innovation.Duties & Responsibilities:Data Warehouse & Modeling: Design and build the company's centralized Data Warehouse.Design fact tables, dimension tables, and analytical data models using star schema and dimensional modeling.Build department-specific data marts for reporting and analysis.Establish a reliable single source of truth for company KPIs.Data Pipelines & Integration: Build reliable ETL / ELT data pipelines using dbt and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.Integrate data from production databases, APIs, CRM, payment systems, marketing platforms, and internal systems.Implement incremental data loading, partitioning, and performance optimization.Data Quality & Governance: Implement automated data validation and quality checks.Apply data governance, data security, and access-control practices.Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot data issues, and optimize SQL queries and warehouse performance.Reporting & Enablement: Prepare and structure clean, efficient datasets for dashboards and management reporting in Power BI or similar BI platforms.Document data models, pipelines, and business definitions.Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, and other business teams to understand and deliver on their data needs.Qualifications & Requirements Requirements:Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing.Proven experience designing and building a production Data Warehouse and ETL / ELT pipelines.

Technical Skills

Excellent SQL skills: complex queries and joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization on large datasets.Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.Strong Python for data processing, ETL pipelines, API integrations, automation, and data validation (e.g., Pandas).Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).Hands-on experience with dbt for transformation, modeling, testing, and documentation.Experience with Apache Airflow or a similar orchestration platform.Working knowledge of Git, Docker, REST APIs, JSON, and Linux; experience preparing data for Power BI or similar BI tools.SaaS business knowledge and familiarity with SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, retention, CLV, CAC) is highly preferred.Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business teams.Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and reliability.Self-directed, proactive, and able to manage priorities in a fast-moving environment.Working Conditions:● 5 working day (6 working hours/ 2 days off)● Remote Working● “Remote time logging on Hubstaff”What we offer:● Competitive USD-based salaries● Fully remote work environment● Flexible working hours● Strong focus on work-life balance● Medical and social insurance
