Senior Data Governance Engineer (Dubai) - 6 months contract

Overall Experience 5+ years of experience in IT, Data Management, Data Governance, Information Protection, Compliance, Data & AI solutions. Core Experience • Enterprise Data Management • Data Governance Frameworks, Operating Models, Polices and procurers • NDMO Data Management Framework • Data Quality & Metadata Management • Master & Reference Data Management • Data Classification & Data Architecture • Data Sharing & Interoperability • Data Privacy, Compliance & Governance • Knowledge of at least one Data Governance tool, for example, MS Purview. We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Engineer to establish, implement, and mature enterprise-wide data governance capabilities aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements. The role will be responsible for defining governance frameworks, policies, standards, stewardship models, and operating procedures to ensure data is managed as a strategic enterprise asset. The successful candidate will work in Data Governance Office, to improve data quality, establish accountability, enable trusted data usage, and drive governance adoption across the organization. Experience with national or enterprise governance frameworks such as NDMO, or equivalent governance standards is highly desirable. What You Will Be Doing • Implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NDMO. • Implement data governance operating models defined by the organization's Data Governance Office. • Maintain data governance policies, standards, procedures, and controls. • Develop data ownership, accountability, and stewardship models across business domains • Establish data quality frameworks, KPIs, and improvement initiatives. • Lead metadata management, business glossary, and data catalogue initiatives. • Drive Reference Data Management programs. • Define enterprise data classification and handling standards. • Support data architecture and data modelling governance activities • Enable secure and effective data sharing and interoperability across business functions. • Establish monitoring for data quality, lineage, metadata completeness, and governance KPIs. • Govern enterprise data platforms and data management technologies. • Measure and report data governance, maturity, adoption, and business value realization.• Collaborate with business, analytics, architecture, security, and compliance teams. • Promote data literacy, awareness, and governance adoption across the organization. • Support regulatory compliance and organizational data management objectives.
