This team supports electronic health record (EHR) platforms that help students gain hands-on experience with digital charting, preparing them for modern clinical environments. You will work with complex, data-rich environments and leverage modern machine learning techniques, including large language models (LLMs), to build scalable and impactful systems. Collaboration across teams will be key to translating complex challenges into practical, production-ready solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deploy advanced AI/ML, NLP, and generative AI models for knowledge discovery and scientific applications.Design and implement LLM-based solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for search, summarization, and question answering.Build intelligent systems for retrieval, ranking, recommendations, and decision support using modern AI frameworks.Integrate structured knowledge sources such as metadata, ontologies, and taxonomies into AI-driven workflows.Create and maintain evaluation and monitoring frameworks to ensure model accuracy, reliability, and performance.Write high-quality, production-ready Python code and collaborate with engineering teams for scalable deployments.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members.Required QualificationsProven experience in data science, machine learning, AI, NLP, or a related quantitative domain.Strong hands-on expertise in building AI/ML and generative AI solutions in real-world or product-focused environments.In-depth knowledge of large language models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and responsible AI practices.Strong programming skills in Python and solid understanding of ML fundamentals.Experience working with large-scale text or content-heavy datasets and modern AI/ML tools.Familiarity with RAG architectures, semantic/vector search, and evaluation strategies focused on user outcomes.Exposure to cloud platforms and modern software engineering practices.Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
