As a Senior Data Scientist, candidates will join a network that values innovation, analytical rigor, and impactful problem-solving for clients across diverse industries.Role Description This full-time Senior Data Scientist role is a hybrid position based in San Francisco, CA, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Senior Data Scientist will design and implement end-to-end analytical solutions, including data collection, cleaning, modeling, and evaluation for client projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include applying statistical and machine learning methods, building predictive and prescriptive models, and translating complex findings into clear insights and recommendations. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to define analytical requirements, develop dashboards and visualizations, and support data-driven decision-making. The Senior Data Scientist will also mentor junior team members, contribute to best practices, and help shape data strategy for Gigafest Consulting’s clients.Qualifications Strong Data Science and Data Analytics skills, including experience with end-to-end model development and deployment.Solid foundation in Statistics and Data Analysis for hypothesis testing, experimental design, and robust inference.Proficiency in Data Visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).Advanced programming ability in languages such as Python or R, with experience in SQL and working with large datasets.Demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud data platforms.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decisions.Proven track record in a senior or lead data science role, ideally within consulting or client-facing environments.Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering); advanced degree is preferred.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in San Francisco, CA, managing on-site collaboration and remote work.
