With a collaborative culture and strong leadership support for analytics, this is an environment where Data Scientists can make a visible impact.The RoleAs a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the delivery of high-value analytics and machine learning projects, working closely with stakeholders across the business.Responsibilities include:• Developing and deploying predictive models to support underwriting, claims, pricing and customer-focused initiatives• Applying machine learning and statistical techniques to solve complex business challenges• Leading end-to-end Data Science projects from problem definition through to deployment and monitoring• Partnering with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making• Presenting insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences• Supporting best practice across modelling, experimentation and model governance• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the growth of the wider Data Science functionYour Skills & Experience• Strong commercial Data Science experience within insurance or broader financial services is essential• Experience building predictive models and machine learning solutions that deliver measurable business value• Advanced Python skills for machine learning, statistical modelling and data analysis• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large and complex datasets• Understanding of insurance domains such as pricing, claims, underwriting, fraud, risk or customer analytics• Experience engaging with stakeholders and translating business challenges into analytical solutions• Exposure to cloud-based data environments and deploying models into production is beneficial• Previous experience mentoring colleagues or leading projects would be advantageous, but applicants do not need to have held a Senior Data Scientist title previouslyWhat They Offer• £75,000 - £95,000 base salary depending on experience• Performance-related bonus• Competitive pension and benefits package• Flexible hybrid working arrangement• Ongoing learning and development opportunities• Clear career progression within a growing Data & Analytics function• The opportunity to work on business-critical Data Science initiatives with significant organisational visibilityHow to ApplyIf you have strong Data Science experience within insurance or financial services and are looking to step into a Senior Data Scientist position with greater ownership and influence, please apply to learn more.
