Apply & track with Apply EdgeYou will lead the development and integration of advanced analytical solutions across financial risk modeling, geospatial intelligence, forecasting, and Generative AI to strengthen decision-making across the agricultural value chain.This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership. You will design proprietary models, develop scalable data products, and evaluate external technology partnerships to accelerate innovation and deliver measurable business impact.
What You’ll Do
Define and execute the data science roadmap aligned with business priorities across agri-finance, supply chain, and operations.Lead the development of credit risk models, demand and price forecasting, and geospatial monitoring systems.Establish robust data architecture, governance, experimentation, and analytics frameworks.Drive a pragmatic Build vs. Partner strategy, leveraging external APIs and technologies where appropriate.Lead the adoption of LLM, voice-based AI, and intelligent automation to improve workflows and field accessibility.Develop computer vision and satellite-based solutions for crop/livestock health, produce quality, risk assessment, and operational monitoring.Ensure AI/ML solutions are production-ready, scalable, and reliable through effective MLOps practices.Collaborate with operations, finance, and field teams to translate data insights into actionable business solutions.Measure the real-world impact of data and AI initiatives and continuously improve models based on operational and field feedback.Mentor the data team, manage technology partnerships, and communicate technical concepts clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.What We’re Looking For:4+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI, including 2+ years in a leadership role.Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.Hands-on experience in at least two areas: Credit Risk/Alternative Data Modeling, NLP/LLMs, Computer Vision, Geospatial & Remote Sensing, or Time-Series Forecasting.Experience deploying ML models in production, working with GCP/AWS/Azure, and integrating APIs.Ability to translate technical solutions into business value and strategy.Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects in fast-paced environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.Experience in agri-tech, fintech, or emerging-market analytics is preferred.Familiarity with satellite platforms such as Sentinel and Google Earth Engine is preferred.Knowledge of MLOps, data engineering pipelines, and experimentation design is an advantage.Pay & Perks:Competitive salary packageTA/DA for Field VisitsAnnual salary reviewFestival bonusComprehensive health insurance coverageWeekly 2 days offLunch facilityFriendly, collaborative, and inclusive work environmentIndoor & outdoor sports and recreational activitiesOpportunity to work with dynamic and cross-functional teamsCulture that encourages learning, growth, and innovationApply Procedure:If you think you are suitable for the position, you are requested to send your CV tocareer@ifarmer.asia by mentioning Application for Senior Data Scientist in thesubject line.
