Senior Data Scientist – AI & Machine Learning Location : Dubai, UAE | Full-time / Contract | Leading GCC BankAbout the roleOur client, a leading GCC bank, is building out its AI capability. You’ll design, build and deploy machine learning models that drive real decisions in risk, fraud and customer growth, working with business, risk and technology teams.What you’ll doBuild and deploy ML models for one or more of these areas: credit risk scoring, fraud detection, AML, collections, or customer personalization/churnOwn the full model lifecycle: data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation and production deploymentWork with MLOps and data engineering teams to put models into production and monitor their performancePrepare model documentation that meets model risk and regulatory review standardsTurn business problems into analytical solutions and present the results to senior stakeholdersExplore GenAI and LLM use cases alongside traditional ML where they add valueWhat you bring5–10 years in data science or ML, at least 2–3 of them in banking, fintech or financial servicesStrong Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM) and SQLHands-on experience with classification, regression, anomaly detection and time-series methodsExperience deploying models to production, not just building notebooksUnderstanding of model explainability (e.g. SHAP) and of model governance or validationA Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related fieldNice to haveCloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Databricks)Exposure to GenAI or LLM applicationsKnowledge of CBUAE / SAMA regulations or IFRS 9 / Basel modelsArabic language skills
