Senior Data Scientist – GenAI | Government Organization | JerusalemA government organization in Jerusalem is looking for a Senior Data Scientist – GenAI to lead the design and development of advanced Data Science and Generative AI solutions, from architecture and initial requirements through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development across GenAI, LLMs, RAG, NLP, and AI Agents, while providing professional guidance to Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Developers.What You'll Do• Lead end-to-end AI and Data solutions, from architecture and design to production • Develop solutions using GenAI, LLMs, NLP, RAG, and AI Agents • Design Information Retrieval, Vector Search, and Semantic Layer solutions • Work with Embeddings, Chunking, Reranking, Indexing, and Text-to-SQL • Design and implement MLOps, LLMOps, and DataOps processes • Evaluate GenAI/NLP systems using metrics, testing, error analysis, and performance monitoring • Design AI and Data architectures for Cloud and multi-source environments • Conduct Code Reviews and provide technical leadership across Data and Development teams • Lead complex projects from POC through ProductionWhat We're Looking For• 7+ years of professional experience in Data-related roles – required • Including 3+ years of Data Science experience – required • Proven experience developing and deploying RAG, NLP, and Information Retrieval solutions – required • Experience with Embeddings, Chunking, Reranking, Indexing, and Text-to-SQL • Strong hands-on Python and SQL skills • Experience with Vector Databases, Search Engines, Document Stores, and Knowledge Graphs • Experience evaluating GenAI/NLP systems, including metrics, testing, and error analysis • Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, and/or DataOps • Experience designing AI/Data Science architectures in Cloud environments • Proven experience leading complex projects from POC to Production • Deep understanding of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI • Strong architectural thinking, problem-solving, and technical leadership capabilitiesNice to Have: Experience in large-scale, government, or regulated organizations and familiarity with taxation domains.EducationMaster's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, or Mathematics.Alternatively, a PhD combined with 9+ years of relevant professional experience.📍 Jerusalem | Full-time
