Senior Data Scientist – Insurance & Machine LearningLondon | Hybrid | Full Time£85,000 + up to 40% bonus + 10% pensionWe’re partnering with a leading London Market insurance business looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join its growing Data Science function.This is a genuinely end-to-end Data Science role, combining machine learning, production-grade Python, MLOps and commercial insurance. You’ll work directly with underwriting and actuarial teams to build solutions that improve profitability, automate processes and generate actionable insights.What you'll be doingLead Data Science and ML projects end to end, from problem definition through to productionBuild models and insights that improve underwriting performance and profitabilityPartner directly with underwriters and actuaries across different insurance classesBuild and maintain cloud-based ML pipelines, owning models through monitoring, drift and retrainingExplore Generative AI / LLMs and Data Science to drive automation and new insightsRaise standards across MLOps, CI/CD, testing and model versioningMentor junior team members and contribute to the wider Data Science roadmapWhat we're looking forStrong Python, SQL and production-quality software engineering skillsProven experience deploying Machine Learning models into productionStrong ML and statistical modelling experienceHands-on MLOps and CI/CD, including deployment, monitoring and retrainingCloud ML experience, ideally Azure / Azure ML / Azure DevOps, although AWS or GCP is consideredStrong commercial and stakeholder skills, with the ability to turn business problems into practical Data Science solutionsHighly advantageousLloyd’s / London Market insurance experienceKnowledge of underwriting, pricing, reserving or actuarial processesGenerative AI / LLM deployment experiencePySpark or distributed processing experiencePower BI / data visualisation experienceApply Now!
