Senior Data Scientist (ML) | Major Dutch BankA major Dutch bank is accelerating the next wave of AI-driven financial crime detection, and they need experienced Data Scientists to help build it. This is not a maintenance role - the team is actively developing and scaling machine learning models that change how transaction monitoring and financial crime analysis gets done, with real business impact measured and tracked.About the roleYou will be joining the Financial Crime unit at a pivotal moment. The team is executing a GenAI Acceleration plan that moves beyond traditional automation towards intelligent, data-driven systems. For the ML track specifically, the focus is on developing and productionising machine learning models in a big data environment, reducing manual effort for DFC analysts and improving the quality and speed of financial crime decisions.You will:Develop, train, and productionise machine learning models that deliver pre-estimated business value within FCWork with large, complex datasets in a big data environment using Python, PySpark, Azure, and DatabricksCollaborate with business developers and other data scientists in a multidisciplinary teamOperate independently on high-impact use cases while contributing to a scalable AI ecosystemWho are you?Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, including experience productionising ML modelsProficient in Python; PySpark experience strongly preferredFamiliar with Azure and other technologies including GITUp to date with recent developments in machine learning and comfortable with knowledge of IT architectureAble to work independently and take ownership of use cases end to endExperienced working in large, complex corporate environmentsExperience in FEC, KYC, CDD, or AML is a bonus, not a requirementAbout Levy ProfessionalsLevy Professionals is a specialist staffing agency with offices in Amsterdam and London, focused exclusively on placing technology and data professionals at leading financial institutions across the Netherlands.
