Senior Database & Integration Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Database & Integration Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database administration/development, data integration, APIs, and enterprise integration technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain database solutions to support business applications.Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database schemas.Monitor database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.Design and implement integrations between internal and external systems.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system-to-system integrations.Work with integration platforms, middleware, and messaging technologies.Ensure data consistency, integrity, security, and reliability across integrated systems.Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and synchronization.Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve data and connectivity issues.Collaborate with software developers, solution architects, DevOps, and business teams.Support database backup, recovery, and high-availability requirements.Prepare technical documentation for databases, integrations, APIs, and data flows.Participate in system architecture, technical design, testing, and deployment activities.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in database engineering, integration, or a similar role.Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON/XML.Experience with ETL/data integration processes and tools.Knowledge of integration patterns, data transformation, and system interoperability.Experience with API gateways, ESB, or middleware technologies is a plus.Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud environments is preferred.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good communication and documentation skills.PreferredExperience in government or enterprise-scale projects.Experience with high-volume and distributed systems.Knowledge of microservices architecture.Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, MuleSoft, WSO2, Microsoft BizTalk, or similar integration platforms.Relevant database, cloud, or integration certifications are a plus.LocationRiyadh, Saudi Arabia – Onsite
