Senior Design EngineerA specialist engineering manufacturer supplying safety-critical equipment is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of regulated products from concept through to production and testing. This is a senior, hands-on role working to published standards and internal design processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical products for safety-critical applicationsProduce detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawingsSupport product testing, validation, and technical documentationLiaise with customers, suppliers, and external test housesManage external design and test resources where requiredSupport products through manufacture and into serviceRequirementsStrong background in mechanical design engineeringExperience designing valves for safety-critical equipmentExperience taking products from concept through to production (NPI)Proficiency in CAD (CREO/ProE or similar)Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, rubber moulding, machining, and fabricationFamiliarity with DFM, DFMEA, and design control processesComfortable working in regulated environmentsDesirableExperience with pneumatics, instrumentation, or test fixturesExperience with PPE or respiratory equipmentSurface modelling experienceExperience using CAD data management systemsPersonal AttributesDetail-focused, technically rigorous, and organisedAble to manage multiple priorities and projectsConfident communicating with customers, suppliers, and regulators
