Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:o Serve as a technical resource and mentor for Design Engineers and Engineering Interns.o Provide guidance on complex design challenges, protection schemes, control circuits, and customer requirements.o Provide peer reviews of the engineering deliverables of less experienced engineers.o Review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.o Support engineering training and knowledge sharing initiatives.o Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards, templates, and best practices.Advanced Design Engineeringo Lead the design and development of complex electrical switchgear systems including general requirements, elevation and plan views, one-line diagrams, schematics, and control circuits.o Lead the selection and specification of electrical components and provide guidance on component application, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.o Create and revise engineering drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical).o Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, UL, IEEE).o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical designers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.o Review and interpret customer specifications and provide technical input during submittal, production, and post-shipment phases.o Participate in customer technical review meetings and provide engineering expertise during project execution.o Support resolution of technical issues during manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and post-shipment activities.Work Environment:o Functions with a high degree of autonomy and technical authority. Expected to independently manage complex projects while providing guidance and support to other engineers.o Typical work week - 40 hrs.o This is an on-site position unless approval is given by management based on a major life changeo Willingness to work 10% overtime as needed.o Travel is not required for this position.
