Senior Design Engineer

Company Description Global Placement Services is a growing organization in the Recruitment sector, Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Design Engineer role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The Senior Design Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems used across optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering and product design.We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical design and engineering drawings. The candidate should be proficient in SolidWorks, 3D modeling, 2D drafting/detailing, and have a good understanding of engineering standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify 3D models and mechanical designs using SolidWorks.Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and detailing.Apply GD&T principles and ensure dimensional accuracy.Interpret and use welding symbols as per engineering requirements.Perform basic strength and engineering calculations.Ensure designs and drawings comply with applicable ISO standards.Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and other engineering teams.

• Review designs for manufacturability, functionality, and quality.
• Maintain design documentation and engineering revisions.Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Expertise in 3D modeling and 2D drafting/detailing.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of strength calculations and mechanical design principles.
• Understanding of ISO standards and engineering practices.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.QualificationDiploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/product design.
