Senior Design Manager – Solar Power

Job PurposeLead the design and engineering activities for Solar PV projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with project requirements, and successful project delivery from concept design through commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete design lifecycle of Solar PV projects.Lead electrical, and structural design coordination.Review and approve technical drawings, calculations, and engineering deliverables.Coordinate with clients, consultants, utilities, and project teams.Support tendering activities through technical proposals and design optimization.Ensure compliance with local utility regulations and international standards.Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.Manage external consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Ensure projects are delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.10+ years of experience in Solar PV design and engineering.Minimum 5 years in a Design Manager or Engineering Manager role.Experience with utility-scale and commercial Solar projects.Strong knowledge of PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, and Solar PV system design.Familiarity with utility approvals, grid interconnection requirements, and renewable energy standards.Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.Key SkillsSolar PV DesignEngineering ManagementProject CoordinationGrid ConnectivityTendering & Technical ProposalsValue EngineeringTeam LeadershipStakeholder Management
